Even kicking the ball straight from kick off in the net would take more than 3 seconds.

Not really, its pretty well known the mighty Fred of Olympique Lyonnais holds the record for Brazilian football at 3.17 seconds. Theres supposedly some amateur guy from Isle of Wight that scored in 2 seconds but not much evidence, hard to verify.
