The longer the contract and/or the higher the salary, the less likely a board are to fire you mid contract, due to the high level of compensation.

Are you one of the clubs "favoured personel" or have a high reputation?

I don't know if they will offer you a better one or not, is there not a negotiate option in the original offer to ask for more money?

Think of it logically though, the more you get paid, the less money the club has to use.

on 2007, i never got onto the faveroute personnal... even when after 10 years, i got alkdershot into the prem, and into title-challengers! i even won the european chmapions league! and i then left to manage barcelona, and i was never on the list... have they changed it on 2008?
