Quite simply, Kelvin Davis is worth £8M when they game starts (as a sunderland fan I KNOW thats not true ).

Ive edited him a few times, and now, TBH, ive made him awful, yet he still appears to be worth £8M and one of the best GK's in the country!!!

This is the same for a few players, Ive tried to make some seem better, and some players poorer. Doesnt happen when i load the game up.

And yes, i am using my amended database when starting the game.

Is this a bug, has it been pointed out already??

Sorry if this is being a forum pest, but im intrigued. Is it a editor early version bug or am i doing something wrong. Noone seems to have mentioned it on any other threads ive seen.

Do you set their current and potential ability lower/higher as well along with the stats? For stats to raise you need to raise a players ca and vice versa.

In this example, i went to the extreme of making him awful, no rep or potential above 90. Yet he's still worth £8m!!

Someone pointed out to me that the player history has him going from sunderland to southampton for £8m rather than £800k, so I altered this.....still no change.

It occured to me as well that some values stay the same even though I slighly edited the player. On other occasions the value changes. I guess its fine as long as the stats change how I want it.

It uses his recent transfer value to calculate is value at the beginning of the game or when a player is recently transferred.

As the game goes on this value can rise or fall

But if i change the transfer from 8000000 to 800000 in the history using editor, shouldnt it similarly change his value when starting a new game? It didnt. Unless im missing something glaringly obvious.
