Hi,
Make one of your wingers targetman, with pass to feet and the other as playmaker.. maybe that will help with getting more passes out to wingers. Just a thought.

I'm sorry I haven't read the whole thread, so this might have been said before.
My suggestions are that you set them to run with ball often and play longer passes from your defense, especially your fullbacks.
I tend to rely on wingers a lot. Usually, they receive the ball from my fullbacks. They and the central defenders play longer passes than the rest of the team.
Run with ball ensures that they'll do exactly that, dribble away. I've been recently getting more acquainted with strictly individual instructions, which I didn't use much before. Hope this works.

Too many forward runs means offside calls and also the player ending up in an isolated position. With both you can produce very nice football but only if it's used in moderation. The same is said for crossing. If it's on often he'll be looking to do it all the time, resulting in mismatches. in this kind of formation, who do you want heading the ball? Most of the time people will play with a tall striker in the middle but the only other options are either an AMC running late into the box, or your other winger. It's hard to find a good header or player in that position who is strong enough to win those headers.
That's why I like to give the wingers enough equal options so that they don't rush into the corners.
As for the farrows, I find that it results in them being too far from the ball (action) and therefore the only ways they will get the ball is from a long, direct pass. Inevitably, those passes are easy to be intercepted or result in the attack breaking down.
I hope that was a bit more clear.

i understand. Thanx a lot. But look for the tactic crazy gra. I uploaded it, becouse i want to know how to set up wingers, so in his tactic wingers has farows and have often fwr and rwb, so it is not efective?

sorry for that:
so i know when i playinw with wingers should i play quick and direct style, but what with instruction for my AMR/L? FWR mixed? rearly? RWB-? CROSS-? I play with 433 without farows to AMR/L. Can i play with this formation wide and passing to flanks. Becouse Cleon sais that playing both flanks with wingers in AMR/L position isn`t have sense. Sorry for english

You can play as you wish? If you want those wingers to move inside and be outside forwards you leave no arrows, crossing on rarely, give them high creative freedom (or free role for at least one of them), and it may be a start. But if you want them speeding down the touchline and whipping crosses in them keep it wide and maybe passing down the flanks. Also pay attention to your winger's stats and make sure that both are really good players who you trust to be involved in almost your every attack. Don't give RWB to a winger who is not going to be amazing at both dribbling and have good enough decisions and hopefully teamwork.
It's a really nice formation if you have a team like Barcelona or another top spanish side. On the flipside you can also produce some really dully and boring but effective football, if you like. Just pay very close attention to your width and players' passing style. Just watch the match engine and choose your players wisely

it's more to do with how you set out your mentality across the pitch, default player settings are more effective when the team mentality is set to mixed ( imo) but if you are gonna change the team settings,i'd suggest you change the player settings to match up,i use 4-3-3,my wingers (AMR/AML) with farrows to by-line,seem to finish the season with highest assists,my advice is to keep experimenting, you are bound to come across what works for you

One of my favorite types of goals on fm is the deep cross or direct diagonal pass to the winger making a forward run. It's hard to describe exactly, but I'm sure those of you who've seen it know what i mean. I find in this version of FM, forward runs are much more potent, but so much depends on the general passing of the team. It's pretty logical - any pass involves both a sender and reciever...
In my experience, I find that getting the wingers involved too much in the buildup prevents them from finding gaps and space to get open themselves. Focusing your passing more through the middle often results in the wingers cutting inside, looking for space, and becoming open in more dangerous positions. This is especially effective if you're using smaller strikers, and wingers with good off the ball and pace.
I find it really frustrating seeing my star winger run with the ball until the gets to the byline then playing the ball off the fullback for a corner. If they remain on the outside of the opposition fullback, a lot of their attacking potential is stifled. I want my wingers to preassure the defence, and any time they force one of the opposition CB's out of position, it's more space for my strikers to exploit. In that case, I want them to not run with the ball too much or cross it too often, but find space in more advanced positions. I set one of my wingers on high CF, high FR, high TTB, mixed RWB and mixed (or even rarely) crossing, and if the attributes fit, free role. This way, he can support the striker(s), and in turn disrupting the opposition's back four. You can set your other winger as a more conventional one, and that makes a very awkward setup for most defences to deal with.
With any formation, I find the most important thing is manipulating the spaces and gaps on the pitch. If you're passing down the flanks and your wingers set to crossing often, forward runs often, run with ball often, then you run the risk of being too predictable and camping your wingers too far into the opposition's corner area.
Now if you have a big ole target man who will win you the headers into the box 9 times out of 10, then by all means do so - until the opposition figures you out.
