Please someone recommend a tactic for me. I am starting to lose the will to live with fm 2007 and i really dont want to

Keep trying buddy.This is no doubt the hardest version of this game by a country mile.Before you were able to select a tactic almost from the pre-made selections, put just about any player in those positions(some exceptions of corse).But in this version tactics actually mean something.I play a 4-5-1 with fast wingers and a direct style.Deep defence.Now in the past individual instructions werent that important. Now thay are more important than having a star striker. Besides some little probs with the match engine this game makes you think.A new tactic will be picked apart by some formations. This is why you really have to be vigilant. IE- before in previous versions i would make changes at 65 mins unless otherwise necessary. Now, I am making them all game. Stick with it! This game is not impossible, once you get it worked out you will be fine. Also go check some stuff in this section, some of the advice i have a ttained here has helped me so much. And im not a nooby been playing since CM@. But I was terribly confused and dissapointed at 1st also.Started thinking like a manager and guess what, Man U are currently in thier 3rd season and currently sit 21 points above Arsenal with 11 games to go. My first season lost to Chelsea by 6 points the following season beat em by 1 point. Got the players to play my tactics that i wanted and now cruising. Europe still a struggle lost the CL final 2 yrs running. This year for sure. In concliusion the only advice I can give is to tinker tinker tinker. Dont get dwnhearted we are all struggling with htis one. But im having a lot more fun being challenged than i did winning quads year after year.

By the way, my 2 cents worth, this version of FM foes require some thinking and spending time in front of the computer. For some time-saving, you can download some of the more prominent tactics on this forum or if you wanna make your own tactic, look at the threads by wwfan, Cleon, etc and they should give you a good headstart.

im agree with u buddy. this games makes me f**ker tensions. can u make the game more easily. i mean that dont make the game ultra realistic. where in the world u see formation 4-2-4???? where do u find it???? make it more simple....dont make too complicated.just make the game as usual....

Go on holiday the day before your team is due to play. The assistant manager will do the tactics for you seeing as you can't really be bothered. You can then watch the game afterwards if you want to. This means that you can concentrate on the important things like buying players, and not worry about any of the useless things that clog up the game.
