Wanted to know what tactic people use when they are 1 or 2 goals up with 20 minutes remaining in order to preserve the lead.

I take it you mean if your playing against a bigger side. Usually change the Mentality slider to neutral and play 4-1-3-1-1

No, against any team, even if you are ManU, Milan or Barcelona.
I have blow some leads against weaker teams, so I want to make sure I get the win. Sometimes I put a defensive tactic and they still manage to score.
I had some success with one named "Beatiful END" that was posted here.
