Is Ashley Young really your best leftie? Do you have a screenie for him?
The main problem you have is that you have too many players to keep happy. Most are young, so maybe not too much of a prob in the first season. Plus when you get the others back off loan, Saivet should be pushing through. I'd dump Eduardo for sure - he's good, but probably nowhere near the others.
As for formations, you can pretty much take your choice. 4-2-3-1 is probably the most effective looking at your squad. With so many AM-RLCs it gives you a lot of flexibility from your wingers in Walcott and Young, but throwing Vela and/or Aaralito in behind the striker. Any and all can switch positions; either via your own hand throughout the game or set them to swap according to their own perogative.
Or just go for it with a 5-2-3 (with your wing backs attacking). That could be fun.
Might be a case of "killing your darlings". Probably do without Bendtner and Baptista as well as Eduardo, but it depends how the others have developed by your year.
You still have a season or so until Torje is world class, but I can't see him replacing Walcott.
Modric is nowhere near as good as in 07, so he might make you a couple of quid.
And if I'm being REALLy picky, aren't there some much better DMs than Mascherano? Andreassen doesn't have a great rep but does great in the Prem, and if you can lure Lucas along you've got it made.

Stat wise, Young isnt the best i have, but form wise, he is. Here is a screenshot of him and my other players who play LM
Eduardo will be leaving in the summer, i dont use him enough (thanks for the 4 goals v Chelsea though!!!) i am going to give the 5-2-3 a go, with Zapata, Milito, and Richards as my CB's. Baines or Marcelo as my LWB?

Like previously said, i will sell Eduardo, and i will probably do the same with Baptista and Bendtner. Modric plays a part role for me, so again, he will probably be leaving, hope to get about 8-10mil for him. I also have Hargreaves as a DM, picked him up for 6.5mil, and hes done wel, but hes out for 3 months ATM, and i also have Banega, who is regarded as the best on the game. I will look at Andreassen, and i will most likely be selling Appiah, as he has been less than impressive. I will probably have no prob with Lucas, i have over £200mil in my transfer, and £600mil finances, plus a high wage budget.
I would get Jimmy Briand to partner Vela. I have them both in my second season and I like how they work.
I'm using standard 4-4-2 but with very attacking set-up. Also see if you can get Ribery, he is awesome for me. Ben Arfa, Silva and Aguero are the other I can think of. Unless you are bored getting the same players.

TBH, i have made a few mistakes with my strikers!
I already have Zarate, Adebayor, and Vela who all scored 20+ last season, and I had Bojan coming in for free. But i forgot about Bojan, so i also agreed to sign Huntelaar, again for free! So i think i have 5 players who are all VERY good for that position. I may invest in silva though, RM is my weakest position(A. Young). Ben Arfa has gone to Man Utd, and they wont sell whatever the money!
Ill have a look at Ribery, really like him as a player!!
GK - One of Foster or Schmeichel. You dont need 3 in your main squad. 2 with a youngster in reserves is fine.
DC - Gallas & Milito can both leave. They both would be 30+ so no real long-term future. Maybe you could keep Milito for another season but Gallas needs to go. Zapata, Djourou & Richards is all you really need. Breno can come out from the reserves.
DL - Get rid of Barry. Where the hell are Clichy & Traore?? Get one of them back or someone someone better.
MC - Appiah can go too. He's not that good and he'll be 30 as well by now I suppose.
Marcelo is better than Young at AML. I'd rather play him there. I'm sure you'd be in a position to shell out a lot of cash. I'd look to buy Silva for this position. Aaritalo can go, he's rubbish post-patch. Farfan and Walcott, while both good, are not the greatest wingers in the game. I'd keep one and sell the other. Farfan should go for me but thats because I'm an Arsenal fan! You should get someone better for the right. You talked about Ribery. Yeah he's brilliant, get him. Walcott on rotation I suppose. If you can get good money for Modric, sell him. He's a useful player but will never be a world beater in the game.
As for your strikers, I'd sell Eduardo, Murphy, Agbonlahor for sure. None of them are better than the others you have. So that leaves you with Vela, Pato, Bojan who are all indispensable. Then there's Ade, Bendtner, Zarate, Huntelaar. I'd sell two of those. I'd kepp Bendtner for sure. I love the kid and I think he'll become great. If he's progressed well in you game, hang on to him and sell Adebayor. Else keep Ade and sell Bendtner. I'd sell Huntelaar as soon as he arrives as well. You'd make a little bit of money on him I suppose so works out fine. That leaves you with 5 strikers. Thats still 1 more than I like but I'm sure you can work with them.
As far as guys like Baptista, Hoyte, Gourcuff, Torje etc go, its your wish. I'd sell atleast the older ones. Gourcuff is very good on the right wing btw. But again, not much better than Farfan.
id get rid of adebayor for sure, not prolific, and although his ratings are good i reckon you have better strikers than him awell as there being better out there you can buy from his transfer,
