How many good seasons do people normally get out of Carragher?

Agger is unsettled and wants to leave on my save in second season so am going to try and get Micah Richards to replace him (already have Zapata) and was wondering if I was going to need to replace Carra in the near future too?

I can't really say on FM08, I'm only in my second season with liverpool so far, but on FM07 I used Carra for at least 4-5 season (to 2011 at least). Of course he'll be getting old and he's physical stats will decline but he'll still be a good cb and he wont let you down.

Might be a bit early but take a look at Mamadou Sakho to replace Agger. I've bought him in 2010 in my game. He's quick, left-footed, can cover LB, and hits a decent free-kick. You'll also get him quite a bit cheaper than Richards.

I'll take a look at him - thanks. Richards' price is ridiculous on my save. City want £40 million for him but last time I bid and they rejected, he was unhappy that they wouldn't allow him to have talks with me so am hoping this may bring his value down a bit.

By the way, I'd play Carragher until he's 33. However, the speed of Richards and Zapata would make me just sell him quickly.

If your Liverpool you can never sell Jamie!, I usually keep him for as long as he plays well..if that be 37 or 31.. i always find that he starts making mistakes when he is past his best..and then he becomes the Cpt of my Reserves!
