Hi as the title says I'm just starting my 3rd season with Man Utd. To be honest I dont feel the team needs ny more players as it is a very strong squad, however, i have £150mil to blow, and the only person that I'm even slightly tempted in is.... Messi, I think I'll have to offer £103mil to activate his release clause though.. my question is, is he worth it? I've never used him in previous seasons/games/saves. thanks in advance

I've never had Ronaldo in my team so I don't know how good he is. I wouldn't imagine though that Messi will be much better than him. I have played previously as Barca (hate to admit it) and Messi is first class, but there are other players that play better depending on what formation you are playing.

For example, if it is a right sided attacking midfielder you are looking for, you can get Rosina or Giovinco - both are amazing and sometimes more effective and cost far less.

But since you have £150M, I don't expect that paying £120M for Messi will bother you too much.

I was planning on playin him in one of three roles where i have 3 AM's through the middle behind the front man and the two on the outsides with arrows to the wings, so he'd be used in there somewhere, basically all players ive got for there are doing fine i just want one new player to "spice" the team up, despite winning 4 trophys last season it seemed dull, in comparison to the 1st

no one is worth that sort of money but if you have it and really want him, you might as well go for it. I'd look at how much silva is first because they are of a similar standard, and more than likely a lot cheaper

Cheers people, decided to go for it d if he's not so good, try and flog him on for a profit, though at £100mil he better bloody be good!

Agreed. Silva is actually better through the middle than most other AMCs in the game. But then as a Valencia fan I am perhaps a little biased.

Can i ask what patch you are using mate as i never seem to get alot of money with Man U.

Yeah that makes sense mate, cheers. I was asking because i'm playing with no patch aswell and i never rwally seem to get a good budget with Man U.
