I am Man Utd on my game and am looking for a replacement for the fading Gary Neville at right-back and have run out of transfer funds this season to make the kind of signing that I would like to make. I have heard mixed reports on whether Simpson is up to the task. Opinions?

Don't He's a useless defender. Simpson on the other hand is up to the task and is reliable. But he's not amazing.

He's solid but I'd prefer him as a back-up. He's great for a lower Prem team.

I've always favoured Danny Simpson personally and try to develop his potential until Gary Neville retires.

Van Den Borre's key defensive attributes for me, just are'nt good enough and I've only ever bought him as a squad player.

If you're going to buy in however, I look at top level players with tackling, marking, concetration, positioning, pace, accelleration, technique, stamina - as high as possible.

how quickly do you need a replacement? should look for a young right back with high potential and have him tutored during his youth and he'll be right.

John O'Shea if you still have him is rated fairly well according to the coaches so he can fill the void until your youngster comes through.
