No, the title does NOT apply to Ian...

Apparently there was this fellow who used NFA (a danish LL club) in CM4 and led them to the champions league. He spends 700-800 pounds, making the pilgrimage to Denmark to see an NFA game in real life.

Guess what? No game, because the Danish League is on STRIKE!

Click the link if you don't believe me

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark

Yeah, remember reading about this a few days ago: apparently red-nosed ex-ManUre goalkeeper and the older of the two famous Danish footballing brothers could come out of retirement to help out Brondby. However I think the strike has now been called off, or postponed (or something).

Well, despite travelling to Denmark, I didn't manage to see NFA play at home on Sunday due to the strike, but otherwise I had a fantastic time in Copenhagen. It's a really nice city, and a great introduction to Denmark itself. As we (my brother and I) decided to stay in the capital an extra day, and as we were running low on DKKs, we decided not to head down to Nykøbing F., although hopefully I'll be back before the end of the season once the strike is over. I'll probably be writing up a little "My Trip to Denmark" report within the next few days, so I'll add a link to it once it's done.

In case you hadn't noticed, I gave an interview to the Ekstra Bladet dated 23rd August 2004, which highlights how unlucky I was to visit during the first ever Danish football strike (click on this link to read the article in Danish). For those of you who don't speak Danish (me included), hopefully I'll get a full translation in English soon.

Thanks to all of those who have e-mailed me over the past couple of days offering their condolences on what would appear to be a wasted trip, but most certainly was not. I've tried to e-mail everyone back to say that I will definitely be across this season sometime!

This guy is nuts. Heve you actually spent money to watch a foreign LLM team you managed in CM?

Aye. I went down to Telford to watch Leigh RMI visit The New Buck's Head.

Fine weekend, apart from the results.

Copenhagen is a little further off than Telford

You didn't mention distance, you mentioned visiting a foreign LLM Team we'd managed.
