I found a team called Atletico C Goianense in the Brazilian Third Division Ive got my team into quarters of Goias State Championship I finished 4th but play away in quarters. How come not all teams play in a state championship? What is are the teams regulated to? Lost on pens in Brazilian Cup despite playing against 10 men for THE ENTIRE 90 MINS when 1 of there players got sent offf in the 1st minute!! They even scored first!!! :eek:

Not all teams play in a state championship but play in the nationals because a) their may not be a big enough state championship in their region, or b) they got relegated out of their state championship last season into an unplayable league, but they remained in their national league.
You'll see this a lot as you get further into the game.

Teams are releagted to nowhere - similar to dropping out of the conference in England.

Thanks Juanseba for that infor. Ive just lost in the Quaters of the Goias State Championship away to a team I beat 2-0 at there ground, really disapoointed. It was 1-1 and for last 10 mins or so I went for gung ho tatic and they score in 92 min. The SECOND MINUTE OF INJURY TIME!!! :o

The aspect of Brazilian ball that you will really enjoy Tim is that there are 128 teams in Brazilian 3rd division and only 2 of those will see promotion! :eek:
