I always run large DB, and tend to run Eng, Fra, Ger, & Italy with all leagues on. This is on an XP2000+ and 512Mb Ram.

It runs slowly, esp. during transfer windows - Jan 1st, Jun 1st, Update time 16thish Jun etc... but I just take the opportunity to put the kettle on, or read a couple of chapters, or check that the world hasn't yet nuked itself, or come here infact.

That I already knew, Nobby... The problem I had was a doubt of how much realism is lost due to not having some leagues active.

I remember in old CM versions, those countries not selected tended to get crap after a few seasons, and I don't know if it is still the case.

I'm willing to take the pain during the transfer windows to enjoy the extra leagues. Depends if you don't mind this or have little patience and want a quicker game. I like the pain.

I don't have such a big NO on waiting. The problem is that I don't really like short games, and there's not too much time until FM is out.

In that case, could you not just have a game of 01/02 instead? You could have quite a few seasons before FM comes out.

No, I couldn't. Although I know this is not the case with some of the guys here, I couldn't be bored to play CM 01-02 again.

I even tried doing so, but it feels obsolete, and you wouldn't believe how p!ssed I get when hotkeys and right-clicking don't work there...

As long as the unselected league(s) is/are Poofland and/or Jockland this problem doesn't happen (at least in my PC)
