I'll tell you what gets on my tits (Pt.V)
When I sign players I never offer a minimum release clause unless it's absolutely necessary, like when they've refused about 3 contract offers. I also never tick the AssMan contract renewal boxes, for obvious reasons.
During the close season it really riles me when the news item "Welshie Welshbloke has signed a new contract with Porthmadog" and, sure enough, there's a feckin' stupidly low minimum release fee in his contract. You try to re-negotiate and he's not interested, then some poofy feckin' Poofland Club come in and swipe him away for a pittance.
Don't give me the "oh but it happens in real life" pish, 'cos I'm not feckin' interested.
_I_ sign the players, _I_ offer the contracts, the game conspires to lose us our best players and potentially the League and CL.
...and another thing. I NEVER ask our players to feck about nearing the end of the game, they play 'til the final whistle as far as I'm concerned, but they insist in ****ing about with Freekicks and throw-ins, wasting time.

I completely agree with you, iajafer. Except...
I've never, ever, ever had an AssMan actually sign one of my players to a new contract. Ever. Regardless of if I had it clicked or not.

Why do strikers always suck at one on ones with the keeper. They either miss by a mile or shoot straight at the keeper and usually from far too far out. I think I've only ever once seen one of my players round a keeper!!

And you can't simply turn on "Reject All Offers" because there's always the chance that a completely different team will make a good enough bid.

Just had the 'Cross Country Keeper' happen again. (Where your keeper runs thirty yards to miss the ball.)
I really hate that one.
Also - same match - in the first ten minutes the opposition keeper made two brilliant saves from the first two shots we had on target.
His opposite number went on said cross country run to concede number 1, and stood stock still to concede number 2; their first two shots on target.
I really, really hate that.

Attendances...
Controlling Peterhead in Scotland, first season sees me travel to Glasgow for both the League Cup quarter (v Rangers, att. 44,809) and the Scottish Cup quarter (v Celtic, att. 60802).
However, my complaints arise from next season, when again, we happen to face Celtic, this time in the League Cup final at Hampden. Attendance? A mere 37854. At a cup final, with Celtic playing IN Glasgow? I may not live in Scotland, but that's not bloody likely. Did I mention we were no longer a 3rd Division club, but had been promoted?
And then.......
Following season, and again we end up facing Celtic, this time in the League Cup semi final, again at Hampden. Again, Bhoys fans would turn out in droves, right? Wrong, a mere 21178, this time to watch the team who was leading the 1st Division (Yes, we were again promoted). Does that make sense? Surely the few seats not bought up by Bhoys fans would be buy neutrals wanting to see Celtic brought down.
Just doesn't make sense.
And dpc_4891, if someone says "Bragging " to you, chances are it's called a joke, so lighten up Aussie bloke. |

And me wanders if there's still a combo of 'Asking price' and 'Reject all offers below this price' still exists... :p
