I hate it when I have a decent season then 4 key players all get long-term injuries.

All the players have had a blinding season up until the point they get injured and the promotion push changes to a relegation struggle

My rant
Welsh MR comes in on loan stes world on fire, well Div 3 anyway. I sign him for 140K at end of loan as he is good. For next 3 seasons he is in select team each year and gets us up to Div 1. Contract up, he refuses to sign, I transfer list him and Derby ()offer him a contract and he accepts. I lose 2.4 Million in a possible transfer :o

Following season play Derby (). Twice I make it "mano e mano" with my ML and have him and Derby beaten twice. In the Div 1 playoff for promotion meet Derby and beat them again although he was out injured.

Revenge is sweet and I believe a dish best served cold.

He still made the Div 1 select again

i'll explain. you take over a cluband you have about 1/2 dozen 31-33yo players at the club. all on long contracts. you sit in you lower league for a couple of seasons, they get older.

you get promotion. you need to invest in new younger blood, but you can't get rid of these old farts for toffie, their wages are high their stats have dwindled to nothing and no one wants them, and at some point they ended up getting a new contract either one you gave them because they were the only LB you could find or one else wanted to come.

And now your up players are happy to sign but your board will only give you £5 for wages as these old b'stards are takeing all your dosh

I hate when two players are standing next too each other waiting to head one of those high long balls. You're player wins the header but then the ref blows his whistle and sends your player off for a late challange!!

I hate when the ball is only about a metre away from your keeper but he just stands there and lets the opposition striker run thrity metres for a simple tap in.

I hate when its the 93rd minute you need a goal to draw/win, your on gung-ho and your right back takes half a minute to throw the ball to the opposition from the throw in.

I hate offside. My players are always offside!!

I think CM is way too bad for health and sanity and manners...

In normal life I am a fairly intelligent person with a good enough grasp of the English language not to have to swear constantly to get my point across and I don't generally get angry and don't feel the need for violence etc...

When I'm sat infront of my PC playing CM though I find myself slamming my fist on the table, muttering expletives, telling imaginary people to f*** off and all sorts of things that I would never dream of doing elsewhere - it's turning me into a phsycopath who shouts and swears at little circular blobs on computer screens

I'm sure I'm in good company there though at least!

Today's rant:

Corners

I've noticed something very infuriating: your corner taker steps up and curls the ball in the small box. Then, your own player gets up and takes the header, only to send the ball back to the corner taker. My question: if he could rise and win the ball, why the **** not head it towards the goal and thus have a chance to score?

Or:

Your team wins a corner. The ball is curled in, a defender wins the ball and sends it 50 yards upfield like it was a tennis ball, right to the feet of the fastest striker the world has ever seen, who advances forward and puts it in your net in a matter of seconds. Now, half the time, this striker is at least 10 yards offside

And finally:

I usually tell my fullbacks to always stay back when we win a corner. Why the **** is it that only one of them will stay back? The opponents usually have 2 players up front, who will receive the ball from the aforementioned super-header, dribble past the all alone defender and eventually score.
