Now I just noticed that Ian closed the OT thread. And, while I am going to miss several of the OT discussions, I am rather glad about it. Lately (that is, after losing editing privileges), many people started postboosting - first as kind of joke, but as I see it, it got worse and worse every day.
Well, now that the moderator staff decided to close down the topic, I understand now that it wasn't only me who felt uncomfortable with this crap. I really hope that this phenomenon was only apparent in the OT thread, but I suggest that we might include "Postboosting" to the header for things that will result in a friendly burning.
This is actually quiet a good idea. While not everyone will like it because they cant increase their posts as easy(while who cares how many posts you have done!!) it will hopefully create better quality discussion in the forum.
Oliver, it's actually covered in the House Rules - which unfortunately you can't access for some reason - under the "flooding" heading, but it's worth a thought.
