Default Public apology

It would seem that i have offended some people in this forum. I would like to take this opportunity to apologise. It was never my intention (nor ever will be) to offend anyone.

That said. I accept that I did not read the instructions for this forum and that has been pointed out. I accept this, but I never read instructions... I play Cm and will FM without reading the manual... I still havent read the manual for cm1... I jump straight into the game... and hey make mistakes but learn from them.

Serious question.
in my present game... I left Forest green after 25 games (w15, d7, l2) for a new role with Wrexham (7 games so far, w 4, d2, L1). The question is this... "If I manage to get wrexham promoted to EPL or get offered a job at an EPL club is this considered to be LLM or not?)

soldierblue, LLM is a philospohy, a way to play the game. What we try to achieve is as much realism as possible from a computer simulation.

That is why we start in the lowest league, as an unknown manager that is where you start. Overtime if we manage to have some success our reputation may grow and we may be offered or be successful for applying for jobs in higher placed teams. We might even manage to promote the teams we manage. But we do this by following the guidelines to try to achieve the most realistic experience. I think the rewards are sweeter this way.

As some of the long termers on this forum say "If you think its cheating it probably is". Go with your conscience.

Cheers and hope you enjoy the LLM experience.

physim

Thanks for the reply.
I have never had problems taking lower league teams into the top flight but must admit it is harder with only being able to have limited scouting and signing.

But with 10 games played with my new team and zero signings I have had 6 wins, 3 draws and a loss ... so wrexham board pretty happy.

I understand the philosophy behind LLM and respect it.

As far as I'm concerned no apology was needed. You made a mistake(maybe 2), but that's ok. Happens to the best of them(Liverpool( )) .

As far as your questions is concerned, sure it is. In fact this is plucked right out of the guidelines thread:

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR> G.A's Three Rules of playing LLM.

1) Choose a team. Play the same team until you've won everything you can, regardless how long it takes, or until you're sacked. Then start a new game.
2) Choose a team. Play until your reputation attracts the interest of ever increasingly bigger teams; change Clubs as and when you're offered jobs until you're in charge at Real Madrid, Juventus, Man Utd or a World Cup winning Manager with San Marino.
3) Choose a team. Do crap. Get sacked. Wait for another team. Do crap. Get sacked. Wait for….ad infinitum.
<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

As you can see your approach is in line with option 2 and thus fully within the LLM guidelines.

Oh, and a warm welcome to the world of LLaMas

Hello and welcome. Good to see another LLaMa from Australia. I guess from your job offer that your nationality in the game must not be Australian. I always play as an Aussie and never get offers!!

Anyway good luck with Wrexham.

Maybe some people didn't think an apology wasn't necessary but it had the desired effect

I'm sure that wasn't a player name. My eyes must be starting to see weird things.
