The only issue i have come across in my admittedly limited play time was involving a scout.

Once i had signed him, i could not assign him to scout a region as he did not appear in the scouting screen. The only way to assign him to a region was to go into his profile and do it from there.... but then i got no news messages to indicate his search had started and no results back either - most inconvenient for a llama on a budget!

Fixed.

Aside from the 'clubs lacking players' issue that has been bought up, there are some clubs missing.

First example is AFC Telford United, who play at step 4 in the Non-League pyramid (the same rung of the ladder as AFC Wimbledon), and given the support that AFC Telford get, there is a fair old chance that in a couple of years they will be pushing for a place in the Conference North, and possibly beyond.

Also, Alvechurch, who play at step 5 are missing in the BETA demo, yet Bilston Town, who ply their trade at step 9 are included.

On a 'Normal' sized database using the latest code, AFC Telford and Alvechurch are now in the game. The current database options include 'Small', 'Normal', 'Large' and 'Huge'.

Oh, and to add onto to Nobby McDonald's point 7. What will happen with regards to new teams in the Conf North / South. Is it possible that we'd see Northern teams in the Conference South in error, and vice versa?
I _think_ I'm correct in saying that if there are more Northern teams that join this tier than Southern ones, the Southernmost team in the Northern section (ie Redditch / Worcester / Kettering for arguments sake) would drop into the Conference South.
Is the game designed to handle / implement this.

Yes the game is designed to handle this and will re-arrange the North and South divisions according to geographical location.

I started unemployed and got a job as Hereford Manager there were too many greyed out players so much so I only had one goalie. I kind of like the small 'active' number of players as it means I cant keep changing the starting XI when I loose.

Thats the way it goes in Non League football Tim2. IRL Hereford have a second keeper now, but he has only recently (ie after the demo cutoff) signed a permanent deal. This will be included in the final release I expect.

Thanks very much for all of the feedback Neil

This isn't LLM related, but still a concern I have about the game and since I'm a LLaMa, I figured I'd just post it here.

It's with the interface, and not the typical GUI complaints that I've seen.

I think you could get rid of one of those continue/back/forward buttons. Redundancy just isn't needed in that area.

I also think that the confirm/cancel buttons in the tactics and contract screens are tucked away too much. There should be a bit more attention drawn to them.

So far, any of my other concerns that I've discovered have been mentioned in here.

Guinnes79: Please respect the requests of this post in the future and report issues only do with with LLM & FM 2005 Beta. If you wish to raise concerns that do not have anything to do with LLM, then please use the appropriate Beta Bugs forum.

On this occasion I will answer some of your queries:-

You would be surprised at just how many people use the differing 'Continue' and 'Back' & 'Forward' buttons; everybody has a personal preference (as seen here at SI) and by having both we can cater for both sets of preferences.

The 'Confirm' and 'Cancel' buttons might feel slightly odd placed on the left. I would recommend giving the 'Right' skin a go for a few hours and see how you feel. Personally speaking I prefer the 'Right' skin because it feels more natural to have Action buttons grouped altogether in the bottom right of the screen (less mouse movement).

Would be useful to allow scouts to be able to look for players to loan, rather than just players to sign

Neil, I wouldn't really consider this a bug, and quite frankly, I'd imagine there are way too many posts in the GQ area to give my thoughts, and the GUI certainly isn't a bug.

In response, perhaps in time I'll appreciate having both locations of the cont/back/fwd buttons, at the moment they just feel redundant.

I've tried the skin on the right, and it does make it better, for sure. Not sure how skinning it would change the font colour for only that little section, but that's for another place.

Another thing, now, which isn't strictly LLM, but pertains to us more than it would anyone else, is the inclusion of staff salaries on the wage budget screen. We'll attempt to keep the wages under budget, but then we still see our club go further and further into debt. Is there any way to have the staff salaries listed under the wage budget too, and have the budget adapted, if necessary, to reflect the additions? It's just nice to have all salaries listed in one spot.
