Correction to 4...

Those attendances are roughly double Stafford's real life average.

The only issue i have come across in my admittedly limited play time was involving a scout.

Once i had signed him, i could not assign him to scout a region as he did not appear in the scouting screen. The only way to assign him to a region was to go into his profile and do it from there.... but then i got no news messages to indicate his search had started and no results back either - most inconvenient for a llama on a budget!

Aside from the 'clubs lacking players' issue that has been bought up, there are some clubs missing.

First example is AFC Telford United, who play at step 4 in the Non-League pyramid (the same rung of the ladder as AFC Wimbledon), and given the support that AFC Telford get, there is a fair old chance that in a couple of years they will be pushing for a place in the Conference North, and possibly beyond.

Also, Alvechurch, who play at step 5 are missing in the BETA demo, yet Bilston Town, who ply their trade at step 9 are included.

I think it would also be interesting for us guys to know exactly what size database is over and above the 'large' that we are seeing on the demo. The word on the street is that there are five databases. Do I take that to mean them to be:
<UL TYPE=SQUARE><LI>Small (as per small in CM 03/04)
<LI>Medium
<LI>Large (similar to Medium in CM 03/04 if the demo is anything to go by)
<LI>Extra Large (ie all players and clubs for selected nations)
<LI>'kin massive (like 'large' in CM 03/04)
</UL>

Oh, and to add onto to Nobby McDonald's point 7. What will happen with regards to new teams in the Conf North / South. Is it possible that we'd see Northern teams in the Conference South in error, and vice versa?
I think I'm correct in saying that if there are more Northern teams that join this tier than Southern ones, the Southernmost team in the Northern section (ie Redditch / Worcester / Kettering for arguments sake) would drop into the Conference South.
Is the game designed to handle / implement this.

There is also a slight issue with crowds. My 1st game at home with Redditch saw us draw in 1800. IRL their average is below 500 (and that takes into account a near 1,000 crowd when entertaining local rivals Worcester)

The demo looks really good though in the main.

I would expect that the North/South realignment works - it does in CM03-04, as the LLaMa Iberian clan can testify. One of our number was transferred out of our starting division in Portugal at the end of season 1 by a regional realignment

That would be me

You also forgot to add that I was also kicked from the central league to non-league football after season 2, despite ending 5th in 2nd B Central

The way the coding works means there isn't a link between cities and Basque. We will be looking to ammend and accomodate this in a future version.

I've heard there's also an issue with starting unemployed as got don't get the confirm option when you're offered a job, you simply get it... But I supose that's a known bug by now and hopefully solved. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Fixed.

I guess the thing that bothers me the most from an LLM standpoint is that most of the rosters in the Conference North & South don't even have enough players to field a team of 11 players. Also the stats seem to be a bit of a mess.

I expect this to have been fixed by the gold demo though <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

The final database will contain more players for teams in the Conference North & South and updates to the database are still ongoing at this time.

1. All of them are currently employed. I can't afford to waste all of my transfer budget on a scout! Where are all the unemployed applicants? Does everyone in FM-world already have a job? What happens if I have no cash - am I doomed to never aquiring a scout because there are no unemployed ones? <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Running on the latest code as of today; on a 'Normal' sized database I ran an advert from the first day and all six responses were from Scouts who were unattached available on a free transfer. Continuing my advert for another week returned a further three applicants, all of which were unattached.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>2. I had to go through those applicants one-by-one. I'd like a "shortlist" of the applicants so we can see their attributes and sort them. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Nice idea and one for us to consider for a future version.
