Default East Stirling

Hi all,

New-ish poster.

I've just started a game with East Striling and I think its probably the hardest job in CM 03/04.

I decided to take up the challenge of not finishing bottom of scottish thrid division and its not looking good.

I can't get anybody to sign for me not ever 37 year old has beens or loan players.

I've had previous triumphs in LLM with Brechin in Scotland and Carlisle in England but this is tottally different.

Without breaking the rules of the forum any chance of a few tips if you've ever tried managing east stirling?

cheers

Now you know better than that.

A certain modbloke in here has managed East Stirling and done rather well with them. Be patient, fail miserably. Use your scouts, fail miserably. Continue on.

Persistence might pay off, or it may not, but it'll be satisfying if it does.

You don't really want tips from us. Trust me.

GL!

What about tips? Well, seamus said it all.

I suggest trying to score more goals than the opposition; if you can't do that, try to concede less than they do.

Hey all,

A little update. I set a target for myself to finish second bottom at the end of my first season and I did exactly that. I only just managed it by releasing most of the squad and signing youth players and a couple of older pros.

I'm 7 games into the second season and I'm 4th thanks to a welsh striker I signed on a free 3rd division in England. (sorry Poofland )

KUTGW! LLM is usually a very slow process. Taking a small team and gradually building them up to a powerhouse....or getting relegated and sacked!

Welcome to LLM!

Managed to get promoted in two consecutive seasons (anybody noticed that there isn't much difference in quality between 2nd and 3rd scottish divisions).

I'm having a hard time in the 1st division but I reckon I will be promoted within next 2 seasons.

The only worry is the lack of funds for stadium expansion 1500 per game in premier league will bankrupt me for sure.
