I think it all comes down to the floodgate scenarion. If you allow the use of an editor once, some newbie might think it's OK to update players, teams etc.

Thanks for the advice. I can see where Kostis is coming from as well in terms of this developing into a floodgate scenario type of situation.

I haven't decided yet what I will do when FM arrives on my doorstep, however, whatever that decision may be, I will likely keep it to myself, out of respect for the ethos, the forum, (and so that I do not get banished from the forum in the event that I make the "wrong" choice).

Now that I may be extricating myself from the flames, how about that beer! :cool:

I think it comes down to what's in your heart. YOU will know if you cheat at all on your LLM game, and anything you achieve after that point will have a taint to it.

I'll be honest enough to say I have thought about it too. I found it a bit annoying with the wrong names for the Euro Cups. They are what we all are aiming for when we start out in the lower leagues. It may take half an eternity to ge there, but it is the distant light in the end of the tunnel. I don't have a problem with the Champions Cup, but EURO Cup is getting on my nerves.

Not sure if I will dare to do it though. Would be incredibly annoying if the game got corrupted in some way. If somebody could tell for certin the game didn't get ruined, sure, I think I would jump aboard, but untill then, I'm on the fence.

Editors and LLM are mutually exclusive. Use an Editor, post elsewhere...it's up to the individual whether it's by their own choice or not.

Both of which you've done, first by bringing up editors, then by attempting to justify. How is the competition name that big a deal? Do you need to change then name of the EPL to the Barclay Premiership? Or change the German league names to Bundesliga 1/2/Regionalliga? While you're at it, you've noticed that Leigh RMI uses a slightly different shade of blue on their kit to what's in the game, better change that. Hey, while I'm here, I notice that Triestina should have an extra £1,000,000 in the bank. And I've always disagreed that my favourite player's accleration and pace isn't quite what I think it should be, better up those a little bit.
