Why don't you just start the game with the use real players option turned of (if you can in 03/04) so the computer creates new players everytime then you wont have a clue who you are buying and every game will be different.

I dont play lower league very often but if you wanted to make it hard for yourselves and use your scouts to find players, I would certainly use that option.

I think if you've had a player at a club and he's done well for you, then you might just be considered to know about him sufficiently to purchase him at a new club.

Personally I agree with the Celtic manager. If I leave a club and I can afford to take any of the good players with me, I make a bid

But if you have even a modicum of self discipline, there is no need.
