Season 2 with Swansea (04/05)

Promoted and a trophy.
Expectations: invest in new players with 14,327 ...
Season finished:2nd Pl 46, won 26, drew 12 lost 8 90pts behind Cheltenham on 92pts
But beat Hull in extra time in te vans trophy to lift it at the Millenium stadium. (not much of a trophy but hey we won it)

Had to get a couple of free transfers including a young goalie who should do nicely for 10-15 seasons.. (with luck) and an old striker and a midfielder and my academy produced a CD who was a rock.
No offers of jobs this season but into the championship or div one we go...

Season 3 with swansea. 05/06

Promotion and new stadium!

board gave me 1.3 million transfer kitty but all I could scout was a few dody people and a couple of old warhorses. i chose the warhorses and went for it.

The new stadiumwas ready 20,000 all seater called white rock.

After 10 games w4,d6,l0 was really pleased as board had told me to: invest in new players.

20 games w10, d10, l0 we are in danger of getting into the promotion race.

lost 1 after 30 games.. going good.
46 games season over won 23 d18 lost five. Finished : Champions of div one or the chamionship.

Season 4 06/07

Survival and cruel shootout at wembly

Found a couple of freebies and sold a couple of players but mostly the same squad as before.

Board gave 2.9m for transfer kitty. the closed some of the new stadium to update it to 26350 all seater after christmas.

Started bad, and got worse. 19 games played and only 18 points to show for it and in 19th place. Board said Fight bravely against relegation: I couldn't see much fight at all.

A few injures meant a team reorganisation ans hey some sort of success.

End of season finished 16th 3 points ahead of forest who went down and 1 ahead of WBA. but survived.

pl38, w12, d7, lost 19 pts 43.

FA Cup Final against chelsea.
after 40 mins my striker goes off... we are in trouble. 42 mins our sub scores 1-0.
51 mins expensive striker scores 1-1
89 mins after getting slughtered we score .. surely the winner...2-1
injury time... 92 mins another expensive striker scores... 2-2
extratime: 105mins expensive striker a scores again 2-3 to them.
Attack attack attack--- 115 mins our sub scores his 3rd. 3-3 and to the shootout.

swansea first 1-0 then 1-1. 2-1 and they miss.
we hit th post and they score. 2-2. we both miss .. still 2-2
we score and so do they 3-3
sudden death goes to 5 each and then we score 6-5
and they miss... swansea win the Cup....

lady luck smiled on swansea as they somehow managed to snatch an unlieky penalty victory. Swansea were at times overrun by chelsea. The blues cruelly punished in shootout..

who cares... we won the FA cup (ok i admit very lucky to survive in the prem league and win the cup) doubt we'll stay up next season.. but we have a cup.

you're coming close to a story, not to an update. Especially winning the cup can be easily written in one line: "Besides surviving in the premiership, we luckily won the FA Cup in the final vs. Chelsea after penalties".

I diasgree about getting the swansea job (i assume that I must have past experience otherwise forest green would not have hired me either... therefore swansea in deep brown sticky stuff must have known about my past) but since everyone one else thinks I should not have had the job... I will accept i am wrong and terminate the game and start again.

Season end: pl38 w14, d8, l16 position 11th
beaten in UEFA 4rd by Betis.

Start of season 6 08/09
transfer :16m (i could buy good players with this)
Expected to achieve respectable league position. Applied for England job and Got it!!!

I am now ending this game.. unsure if should resign or retire and start afresh yet. Retiring suits me because in no way could i buy the same players again.

just because some people didn't agree with you, or just because you made a mistake doesn't mean that you have to pay a harsh price for it. You're enjoying your game, and as long as you play it in an LLM-appropriate way, people here will support you.

You really shouldn't stop playing what you enjoy if you don't want to, or the next thing you'll do is to bind yourself naked to a tree just because someone told ya.
