Default Who decided Tamworth is a team?? (Update)

Season 01: 2003/2004

Ok, got my hands in this *aham* great *aham* Conference team.

After a little time in the club, got to sign a decent scout, and so games begun. The board expected me to fight bravely against relegation, like the supporter's.

In the cups, we got a couple of victories in FA Cup before losing to a 2nd Division side, which I can't remember now. In FA Trophy, we got beaten at the penalties in the first round, losing to Bath City .

The Conference start was very promising. The team's play consisted basically of a great (Conference standard) AM RL playing left wing crossing balls to a couple of promising french strikers. We managed to stay in top five places for ten rounds, when suddenly we started to play sh!te.

After most of the season being between 10th - 16th place, the signing of a good AM LC 24 years old and a 27 years old Antigua & Barbudan keeper brought a little more of consistency to the team, after I put my former left winger to play in right wing.

In the last eight games, we were unbeaten, having won 6 of those. Sadly, it was already too late to dream with a play-off spot, and we finished 7th.

The first season, although very promising, specially regarding the two frenchmen upfront (the fast freak scored 23 in the league and had 3 assistences, while the tall good heading bloke scored 19 and made 15 assists), left me with a couple of doubts.

One of my best players and my captain, a 35 years old AM RC, retired in the end of the season, which left me with a big gap in the team.

Also, my main bench-warmer for defence retired. At least, got able to sign a twenty years old fast left winger, whose dribbling and crossing are beautiful!

Had a lot of youngsters promoted from my youth squad, from which six were promptly released, due to the low wage budget the team is having. Some three or four youngsters should be having appearances at the first team next season, one of which is a very promising D/M L, which is good, since both my full-backs were not very well last season.

As for European Championship, Portugal beat Czech Republic 2-1 at the final and managed to win the thing.

P.S.: The game is being run on CM 03-04, 4.1.5, only English league selected.

P.P.S.: Mods, would you be very p!ssed with me in the case I made two posts per season?? I don't really have that much time to play it, but I like to share my disasters with others

yes, I read that, Liverpool. the problem is it says "twice at a push". Am I allowed to have a push or is it for senior members only??

Also, it didn't look so big when I was writing it, for that I apologise. I'll try and make my future update shorter.

I'm intrigued as to where you signed this Carribbean goalkeeper from.

He probably just sent his scout to look around UK & Ireland. Or, as the scouts prefer to describe it:
Paid Vacation.

Yes... Paid Vacation was the case there... Got surprised, since I didn't think A&B is in UK...

He also found a defender from that nation, but he was completely sh!te. the keeper was only partly...

If you're going for single-line updates, then you can do two updates.

As a rule of thumb, most seasons don't need more than a few lines to update the important stuff. Two updates per season are usually reserved for the more exciting seasons.

A fellow Lamb

That captain marvel of yours was one of my best players too. In fact he was so good I still haven't managed to replace him two seasons later. Hope you are luckier.

So I assume you've seen the 2nd FA Cup round then? I've been knocked out in first all three seasons so far. Bugger!

That's hardly egalitarian is it. There are two ranks here; those who are mods and those who are not. And actually being a mod doesn't get you any extra respect.
