So what you're saying is they all have normal contracts, whereas they should just have rolling contracts on minimal wages?
I've been an avid fan of the LoW in CM01/02, and used to think the fact most players were on about £150-£200p/w a bit stupid to be honest. You were pretty much only able to sign U21 players on very low part-time wages, whereas this should've been the norm for most players in the league.
As for SI focusing on smaller clubs/leagues, you'd think considering the Conference North/South are now in the game there should still be realism at lower levels (assuming the LoW is a similar standard!). But I can remember Taipan's concerns here about training not catering for part-time clubs, and I'm not sure that was ever sorted out fully.

I guess in terms of recreating 'reality' its something that should be included but its not necessarily practical for a game. The terms of agreement in a game and your ability to approach and scout players, as well as their own motivations for coming to a club at that level is somewhat different in reality. I s'pose that the majority of FM sales will come from the sort of gamers who purchase the game to play as Real Madrid and couldn't give a flying FCUK about these sorts of details...SI/Sega have to compromise these 'minor' details within the constraints of consumer demand and release date targets I guess *sigh*

SI, like any other game Developer, have to strike a balance between making a game totally realistic and making it playable...a game.
LLM must account for an extremely small number of players compared with the number of copies of the game that are sold so it's inevitable that the LLM side of things will be passed over in favour of the ManUre/Juve players.
Look at the topic numbers of LLM compared to our neighbours, GPG, T&TT and The Spawn Forum. 1431 compared to 6989, 7552 and 2226 respectively and 33151 for CMGQ
As for contracts, it's not only LoW...what about The Amateurs, Queens Park. No one has ever been payed a wage by them, but they're still contracted in the game.

This sort of contract could make the game very difficult and there would be a risk of the AI nabbing all your half decent players, leaving you with no chance of recruiting replacements. IMO, I think that while this level of detail may well be a welcome inclusion in the future, it may be something that is tackled by the developers after the other issues are sorted.
Still though, a big  for all your hard work in this area. It must have been a hell of a job to collate all that.
