I've had a player who's contract ran out (we didn't agree on his salary) but he's still in the club

Now the problem: after his contract ran out whenever I offer him a new one nothing comes out of it

And I mean nothing!! not even a rejection from the player even though immediatley after I offered the contract (and it's there)

I had the same thing happen on FM 07. The guy was willing to negotiate, I offer what he asks for and nothing happened. So I just changed his contract using FM Modifier

Some may call it cheating but I call it bypassing the bug

i have the same problem with a coach im my 07 team,Ambrossini is listed as a coach until 2030 but if i click on his name it asks me if i want to approach to sign him,i cant sack him as he aint a coach in my team,weird.

Yes it does. Not sure if there's a version for the patch. Have a check in the editor's forum.

I don't know if the player ever leaves. If clubs come sniffing around then you might be in trouble as AI teams love their free transfers. If you offer him for nothing, no interest, but if his contract is expiring that's a different story .
