Alternatively depending on what is causing the problem it may resolve itself.
If they dislike him because he keeps going to the press saying he needs to move to a bigger club, and it's unlikely that you will progress in the near future, then in my experience you will get stuck in a cycle where ever every few weeks/months the player will moan repeatedly, increasing how much the players dislike him and destroying moral.
If he's crucial to your team and you are near the end of the season with the potential to progress (depending on your situation that might mean get promoted, win a major competition, finish in European qualification spot) then hang on (if the moral problem isn't affecting your team's performances too much) and hope he changes his mind.
If he is near the end of his contract, and you are unlikely to progress then ship him out for as much as you can.
If they dislike because he got sent off/made a mistake and cost you the result in a match, then the dislike related to that usually resolves itself pretty quickly (keep an eye on it though).
