I'd like to try a challenge game where I only play the products of my youth academy. It's a long-term sort of game as you can tell. I want to be sack-proof so I can fulfill my long-term plans which may conflict with the board's short-term plans (which are ridiculous, see below). What file do I need to edit to do this? I don't care if people consider this cheating, I play for me, not for SI's vision of the game or the forum drones'.

But how bloody stupid is this "expectations" bullshit feature? I thought of using Athletico Bilbao since I wouldn't have been able to sign anyone decent anyway. Bilbao can only sign Basque players (most of which would not come to Bilbao since it's a relegation battle), and yet the board expects me to challenge for the title within 4 years (media predicts 16th in the first year). Wow. Even if I wasn't going to be focusing on my academy, I don't think it's possible for anyone to win Bilbao the title in 4 years.

What about adding a new manager every time you get sacked?

Hmm, that's a good idea.

I feel attached to my profile, but if that does it, then sure.

There is always the unofficial save game editors, but I'm not sure whether they can be used to 'undo' sackings.

I'd go with the "Keep adding a new manager" approach, too, if I wanted a "Follow a single club's career" instead of a "Follow a single manager's career" game.

Be sure to export/save your training schedules and tactics so that the next guy can load them.
