Fraggley is infamous around these parts
Default Financial Advice

Hi all,

I'm in my first season at Liverpool and hemorrhaging money. I'm under my weekly wage budget of 1.24m by 88k yet post a loss of around 1m a month.

Aside from selling my top players is there something I'm missing to turn my financial situation around?

Thanks
Dan

This is something I've been meaning to ask as well. I'm Monaco and I'm also within my wage budget by about 60k, yet every month we're losing almost £1m. Stadium is almost full every match as well

have you patched? i had this problem with atletico madrid pre-patch, but i haven't noticed it since tbh. although announced, prize money for winning champions league games, for example, was given out in one go at the end of the season/ end of the champions league campaign.

maybe i've been lucky enough to already have 1 japanese and 1 american feeder club. also, if you wait until you get your first season ticket sales message, try to make a fan pleasing signing to boost ticket sales. i just did that, and my expected sales went from about 35K tickets to 42K, and i still beat that. makes a huge difference.

i never lose more than £350K each month, and sometimes i make up to £800K profit per month.

oh, and watch out for re-negotiated contracts. players over 30 usually ask for less money when offered a new contract. goal bonuses can be quite high. and yearly wage rises can take you by suprise if they are too high. but i spose all this is advice for season 2...

If you are using the database that came with the patch then you have to pay debts of £2.2m a month so, in the first season you will have financial troubles.

Don't worry about this too much though, at the end of the season, you will get a lot of money in through prize money, and with careful restructuring of playing and coaching staff, as well as some shrewd business deals, you should be ok for the second season.

although you are under your wage budget, your montly expenditure of total wages far exceeds all of your incomes, therefore you will have to win prize money/sell players/reduce age further/or gain money elsewhere to cover your loses
