Hi there, im currently walsall in 2010 on football manager 2007, im losing money rapidly but i dont know why. My wage budget is 16k under, and i checked my finances but there dosent seem to be anything im spending massively on, its just we arent making enough income..what can i do?
In my experience, just because your wage budget is set to X pounds, it does not mean you should allow it to reach X pounds...or even anywhere near X pounds!
Being 16k under budget is good, but obviously the finances cannot even support this level. Take the setting with a pinch of salt, try not to adjust your transfer budget for that one last good player, because this will cause problems. You only tend to actually make money if you reach the latter stages of cup competitions, or by selling your talented players.
thing is though, last season i was just 2k under and i ws making money, this season i went over so i sold a couple of my best players, got my players to sign worse contracts, but still im losing money!
Are you filling out your stadium? I've kept an eye on attendances, and noticed that a stadium with too many season ticket holders won't make much money on a monthly basis. However, this is not a terrible thing, because my balance is healthier due to all the season ticket sales during the summer.
Losing money but don't know why...
