I want to move my saved game to a laptop and want to be certain I get everything right, so forgive me if this is a stupid question.

I would lkie to point out that I also have some of my own training schedules.

Which files do I need to move and where.

Your current save game is in the Sports Interactive, Games folder in My Documents- copy that to some sort of moveable storage along with your training schedules etc, then replace them to the same folders in your laptop.

You also need to make sure that your laptop is running the same version of FM. So if your desktop is fully patched up to 8.01, then your laptop need to be too. Otherwise it will fail to load the save game.
But, there's no need to ensure they both have the same database, 'cos it's all included in the save file.
