I was just wondering how SI come up with transfer budgets for the 1st season.

Do they get the info directly from the club?
Wouldnt that be a sucicidal as rival clubs will know how much another club has?



Anyone have any ideas?

If you're a first time manager you get less to spend than if you have a decent rep. Also remember this question from previous releases - if you're a smallish club the board already spent big in the summer you tend to get less too.

With Leeds last season people on here were complaining about the measly transfer budget, but since they'd bought seven or eight players in the close season, naff-all cash was about right.

Am sure someone from SI can give a more technical answer, tho.
