Default ATTRACTIVENESS

I currently manage my team Celtic but I am getting quite annoyed with it as even though I keep winning the league and consistantly do well in europe I can never seem to attract enough quality players to challenge for the CL. eg Urbay Emanuelson refusing to leave AJAX who have done nothing in europe for years. I know in real life Celtic couldn't sign Drogba from Chelsea but even when I try and buy good young players from around Europe I have to settle for who is willing to join me as opposed to who I want. I know the Scottish League isn't the best but it is improving rapidly. I think they have massively blundered by making it so hard for Celtic to sign people. In real life we have recently signed big name players like Donati from milan Hesselink from psv ,Hinkel from sevilla and Gravesen from real madrid. I dont think the attractiveness of Celtic has been properly represented.
The last Straw was when despite having a 12m bid for muntari accepted and offering him 50,000 a week he chose to go to deportivo for less money who were almost relegated the season before.
I think most players given the choice between celtic and deportivo would choose celtic.
Am I right ?

In a word, no.

Any footballer with any sense would go to Deportivo.

Seriously though mate, in my Rangers game I have had little problem in coaxing young stars to join my club, without even offering obscene wages. The only difficulties I face is getting players to move from the big 3/4 in the Prem. And to be fair, those names you mentioned aren't exactly massive either.

I wouldnt say so, I think that playing in Champions League would be more promising that playing for a team fighting off relegation

I was looking for educated answers from honest people not bitter ****.

And Shankly you should be embarassed at the amount of money your club has spent and still haven't won a league for god knows how long !!

Torres and Gerrard are legends but the rest of your team are mediocre at best.

Where in my post did I say that Donati is " the biggest player in the world". I said he was a big name and he is.

Champions League football is just the cream on top of the cake. The bread and butter stuff is the league and there can be no doubt that the standard of football in Spain is miles higher than in Scotland for those who want a challenge.

Going to play for Celtic is great for those players who want a relatively easy time playing for a team who are by far the best in their league, but it isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Personally I would choose Scotland over playing in Spain anyday, but maybe not if it was Celtic whom I hate!

I cant beleive a newcastle fan is trying to slag Celtic. Your club is the laughing stock of world football. You think you should be winning trophies !! When was the last time you won anything ? It was the fairs cup I think

You talk about players wanting an easy time of
it. What you mean players like owen and martins who have chosen 100'000 a week to play for a team who are never in europe. Where is their ambition.

Just imagine what we would achieve if we had some of your english funny money to spend on players. Just think.........
