Hiya, I am a little confused with how my team who have a 1st team and a reserves team where I don't have a total of x11 players in the reserves and more often than not I forget to get the non playing 1st team players to be available to play for the reserves.
Basically who makes up the first team is it the youth squad? Most miffed?

If you've got a youth team, they will play in the reserve matches, if not, grey players will play in them. These are players created to make up the numbers.

Writing a story for "FM Stories", I rationalized this as "Amateur" players, either from our Under-16 side (assuming a big club) or unpaid locals (assuming a tiny club).
