A quick sweep of the internet in late February revealed an unhappy truth - of the several hundred FM2006 skins on offer, there was precisely one Arsenal skin available (by Gaz). This was the partial motivation for creating a new one, but unfortunately, I wouldn't have a clue how to build an FM skin from scratch. So what do I do? Grab someone else's

! With Aqueous' kind permission (thanks once again),
Sharp: Arsenal Edition takes the excellent "template" provided by the Sharp FM skin and turns it around completely - creating an entirely new look for Arsenal fans.
Features:
- Graphics incorporating the Arsenal logo, the new Emirates Stadium, and star players of recent years.
- Altered screens, different to the original Sharp FM navigation scheme.
- New match-screens to particularly improve watching the match in 2D.
- Three alternative backgrounds based on Emirates Stadium.
Currently, only a left-hand side version is available. I may get round to making a RHS version if I've got the time. Credit to Aqueous for putting the time in to making his Sharp FM skin in the first place (get it from SortItOutSI.net) and allowing me to mangle it by slapping Arsenal stuff all over it.
Future plans:
- An adapted skin based on the television series
Doctor Who.
- An adapted skin based on Harper Lee's classic novel
To Kill a Mockingbird.
- Graphics packages based on
Doctor Who.
- ...and hopefully even more skin adaptations in the future.
Quick install guide if you don't already know how:
1 Download the file. Obviously.
2 Unzip the file, and then unzip the one inside it. If you don't have a program that can do that for you, there's plenty of freeware that allows you to open and extract them. I recommend ZipGenius (zipgenius.it) and IZArc (izarc.org), both excellent freeware options that are fast and effective. ZipGenius is particularly user-friendly.
3 Copy and paste the "sharp" folder (the one that has config.xml and sharp.xml
directly inside it) into "rootdir

Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\skins". Replace rootdir with the applicable drive letter.
4 Open up Football Manager, click in Preferences, and choose "Sharp FM: Arsenal Edition" from the drop-down box. If it's not there, turn off Skin Cache and check again.
