I'm playing using my customized team based off Peterborough, had 2 created players with their own pictures showing fine in game for a couple of seasons.

Along the way naturally I got some new players like Arturo Lupoli and Lorenzo Rossetti who has got no picture. Today, I decided to fix that. So I found their pictures off the net, resized and saved, edited the config.xml like what I did for a handful of created player.

None of the pictures are showing up for some reason.

I have tried
- played the game through a match to see if they show up after the processing
- started a new game and searched for players like Lupoli to see if the pic shows up
- restarted the computer in case the game/OS was caching an old copy of config.xml
- made the new png with 99% opacity

- switched an existing player's line with a new one i.e.
Trevor Benjamin's line was
<record from="trevor benjamin" to="graphics/pictures/person/2003458/portrait"/>
and changed the ID to Lupoli's ID
<record from="trevor benjamin" to="graphics/pictures/person/1400814/portrait"/>

But nothing will give Lupoli or any of my newer players a face.

Removing Trevor Benjamin's line from config.xml does not give him plastic surgery, game still shows his picture.

Anybody know what's going on here and what am I doing wrong that the game refuses to show faces for players who joined my team after I started the game?

The only things I can think of right now is
1. my OS crashed before so FM2006's registry keys are all wiped, but the game seems to play fine after that so I didn't bother with a re-install. Maybe the game needs the installation path in the registry to load pictures properly.

2. I save my games on a different drive/folder

Turn off the skin cache in the preferences menu and restart fm or switch skins.
