Do you start the game using the quick start new game option?
if so, don't use it, use the norma start new game option cause the quick start is just a save game that given by SI that stary directly at the beginning of the season

could you guys try and update the croatian league more often? at least the major clubs like nk dinamo, hajduk and rijeka? pleaseeee... btw. it's still a wicked update!

extract the file to:

EProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data

using WinRar.

Do not simply download the file to that location.

I can only find that folder in C: and when i extract the files the following message comes up when trying to start a new game:

A Serious error was encountered and the application will close.

An error file has been generated in GARY'SCOMPUTER\C/Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager

installed update now but no Kuyt at Liverpool?? crespo isn't on loan, there just two ive quickly noticed, so was thinking i havent got the most up to date one?
