Just want to say props not just for the update(which is excellent), but for releasing daily updates. This is an awesome idea and I really like it, both for a user who when starting a new game can get it as up to date as possible, and both as a designer as it probably feels a lot less tedious than having to do it all at once. Great stuff.

surprisingly enough.... we already use that site, along with many others!

p.s. That site is not very good though, it misses a lot of transfers.

I am guessing the people having problems installing the update have not used winrar before. If you go into the folder you have extracted it check that it has not just created a new folder thus just using the old data. You will know you are extracting it right when it asks if you want to overwrite the current data.

Neal: We are not "well within our rights to disable it if we wanted to"... why? because doing so would mean hacking the actual file which would mean a jail sentance.

everyone else: I will re-iterate what I said, we believe it is database corruption. It affects the player historys, that is what causes player histories to come up incorrectly in the database and why club money loans, although in the database, are not appearing in the game.
