p.s. Back up the db directory in the data directory

I use a separate directory called progess backup and rename the directory to say what I've done - this way I don't lose hours of editing.

BTW - A league doesn't need a country - You still have to select the original country to start the game but it will then show up under 'friendies' instead of country - it will also not enter enter any teams into European comps.

Another reason it may crash is if you delete the The histories of the league and cup comps

Most leagues start with some kind of super cup of the league and cup winners of the previous season - make sure you've got a winner for 2005 in each of these comps It's quite easy to add these)

Simple problem here:

The FA Cup and Premiership have no winners set, meaning the game hangs when trying to draw the Charity Shield

You need to put them back in in the editor.

Alot of people delete these when making the league, only to find it crash when it comes to the Community Shield.
