So did I Steven. This information is for the editors so that they can input the correct details. Entering this data will place the teams into the correct competition but as for the seeding this fine tunes the allocation and helps for the following season.

This alone will not work either as the European places are hard coded into the game and therefore unlikley to flucturate.

Not true. I know how to change the no. places for any given nation. e.g. The weegie update has Celtic in group stage & Hearts in 2QR because they changed their place in the co-efficient table.

And yes... during the course of the game, depending on good/bad performances the number of clubs in europe & the round at which their nation enters is dependant on their nation in the co-efficient table. Which IS in the game. So does fluctuate

You need to change the co-efficients so that they are correct so that they place the nation in the correct slot in the co-efficients. This allows clubs to go into the correct rounds. In the editor there are 6 years. Input the 01/02 value into 00/01 for example, moving it "back" a year and entering the new 05/06 value into 04/05. You are required to get the values from a website as the one's in the editor have been rounded.

You may need to lower scotlands first year by 0.1 as they had the same co-efficients as belgium. This will then give the game the correct placing for each nation (apart from andorra which has NEVER had the correct european places in the game.... EVER).

Without doing that, the game will move a uefa cup team such as basel into the cl as swisterzland had 2 cl places last year, but just 1 this year for example, so the above IS required.

The same went for 05, which was in my update.

Yes you can change it so andorra have 4 CL slots should you wish. The whole point of seeding in the game is irrelevant unless that nation have the specified number of teams for europe. e.g. Celtic would never go to CL group stages despite seed 1 as co-efficients needed changing.

In the game, to check the current status of co-efficients, goto a uefa compeition, co-efficients, nation. That will show the current status of the nation placings. These change over time due to the performance of the teams in game, as per real life.

These values or placings are NOT hardcoded, although the rules for which placing in the table is. (that's why if you add an extra nation, it will crash)

Okay, I just quickly made a document, showing which values to input into which row in the FM06 database. For fm 05, move each year back one, for fm 07, move each year forward one.

Then set the correct teams into the correct tornaments with correct seeds (There is no way that I know of to change the starting fair play winners so the fair play winners cannot enter europe, but last years nation's get those fair play slots).
