Hey all, can anyone tell me I should be careful about using the arrows that direct wingers forward or back? I have been having a good year but recently starting slumping bad, and I have started changing my tactics quite drastically and I am concerned when I use the arrows that I might be taking players badly out of space.

I am using a 4-4-2 formation with the wingers up as AM and a pair of CM. I usually push the AM forward as well because they are talented and I want them to become for involved in the offense.

Do you find that sending players using the arrows can have a big negative effect by getting players too far out of position for their defensive roles?

A forward/back arrow with a poor fitness / slow player may lead to out of position problems... Side arrows may leave your team too narrow or wide...

But then, they can also offer extra possibilities...

They aren't "good" or "bad". In my team, i use a diagonal farrow and barrow on the two CMs to DM and AM, and short farrows on the wingers...
