Now be honest - has ANYONE had great success with this game?

Like Thomashilton (whose thread was closed for no reason!) I have tried various different tactics and formations in different leagues with different clubs since the release and cannot find success.

This b*llshit about the mid season slump and end of season re-rating is just that - b*llshit.

True that in every season the odd team goes downhill after Christmas and that Wigan this year aren't a patch on last - but this should not ALWAYS happen to the human teams.

If Chelsea, Arsenal or Man U were to play in SI world they would finish mid table every season for the sin of starting off well and probably be relegated in season 2!!!

I too am getting bored re-starting this game only to win some, lose loads, win some, lose loads etc....its rubbish!

It is really hard, im not a fan of the tactic reliance myself, this is the first version of FM i have had problems with in regarding to winning games.

Its still a great game though and at least with the new patch i can sell players now, that was my main problem with fm07 and they fixed it so im happy.

It's a hard game, but that's what we want. Wouldn't you get bored of winning everything?!?!

Like the old champ mans, they were easy. Atleast now it is a challenge, and makes you think.

You have to adapt your tactics depending who you pick in your team, and who you come up against....jus like real life.

And slumps are easy...just look at Leeds, from semi finals of champs league one season to nothingness.

Same with the likes of Notts Forest, I remember they were in Europe one season, and then just plumeted down the leagues.

Oh Wimbledon will be another (MK Dons now)

Just keep thinking about what you have available for each game.

I agree with the OP , this game is focused to satisfy the hardcore players and not the casual ones.

And we have another moron coming to say "quit and F off", he brought the game, spend money and is not happy what he got for his money so YOU quit posting moronic quote and F off.

As original post is concern I personally so far havent played more then 2 season, bcouse they try to make this game "realistic" but is just a pain in the a** and far for real.

I whish they put settings in this game easy/normal/hard and so on so ppl will choose how they want to play it, I personally dont have all this time to find out what all little tick on the slide bar do to my team I just wanna play with 1 formation and get on with it.

So personally :thdn: to this game !!

I think the mistake most people do is they load a tactic up, play a match, loose and then load up another tactic. NO! If you do this then you will continue to loose, give the tactic at least 5 matches and see if there is any light at the end of the tunnel. If there isn't then fine, change it to something you think would suit the team (if you've played at least 5 games you must have a general idea of what to play).
