In my FM playing, I've usually tried to pick a tactic then fit the players into the tactic. In my FM playing, I've not done well at all
So I was looking for your thoughts on what you do when you takeover a new club. Obviously, it's relatively easy if you go Man Utd, Barcelona, etc, but lets just assume you've taken over a complete random team in the Norwegian second divison.
How will you deal with this? What factors will influence your tactic design?
What impact will media prediction (ie. the relative ability of your squad have?). What sort of tactics will you utilise for top, mid-table or relegation candidates?
Secondly, how do you assess your squad and how does this influence your tactics?
This is surely the initial building block for successful FM building -- you surely build different tactics for Man Utd or Watford. So hopefully this thread can be helpful!
