With the help of many people who have posted here, I managed to end my losing streak and most of all my goalles dry spell with Leeds. Using forwars with my striker has, along with a few other changes, solved my inadequacy, but has brought my attention to another matter:
My Leeds is still an inferior team in Premier Division (pre-patch, second season) and doesn't seem to stand a chance of winning against the big teams. I want to construct a good defensive tactic with which I could try and hold off the bigger teams and maybe catch them off guard with a counter-attact.
However, the more defensive my tactics become, the more the other team gains possession and, ironically, the more I concede.
Does anyone here know, how one should go about constructing a working defensive tactic?
It doesn't have to apply only to my situation, since holding a lead during the last 15 minutes of the game with any kind of team also calls for this kind of tactic.

How to construct a workind defensive tactic ? Post #2
Well the more defensive you go, the less likely your players are to venture forward. Therefore you invite pressure upon yourself and give possession away, or find it hard to get out of the own half when you do get the ball.
There are some threads in the tactics bible which can be found up top, what focus on defence and give tips etc of how to set up solid. Maybe they can be of some use for you.

How to construct a workind defensive tactic ? Post #3
Its about half way down the page and I found it was good for hitting teams on the break but be prepared for your team to have to soak up quite a bit of pressure
