I am not moaning about this but am trying to find some logic to why it is happening with the eventual aim of trying to find out how to resolve it.
I have created a 4-3-2-1 formation basically the Chelsea/Barcelona Formation in real life. I play a couple of notches above the middle for tempo with the notch just before short passing.
The problem is that in pretty much every game I create 20 – 25+ shots with a good ratio on target but my conversation rate is always pretty low with the keeper often getting a good mark.
I normally draw or at times scrape a win and this is with quite a few different teams. I don’t understand as the tactic surely must be ok as it manages to create chances and dominates the play? Basically the tactic creates and dominates the play but does not get the results – what can I do?
I don't know all your settings, but I would try to slightly decrease mentality, especially for wingers and MCs. What I have recently found is that the higher the mentality the more often players try to shoot from distance or simply shoot when it's not appropriate. If your players are good, they shoot on target but those shots are not really dangerous for keepers. Once you decrease mentality you should see less shots but better conversion.
On top of that you have to bear in mind that there is known problem (bug) with shots on goal/goals ratio
Could you please point me to a thread where SI acknowledged it as a bug? I cannot find it and I don't think people complaints can be considered as a known bug.
