Ok i started last night a game with Karlsruhe in the Bundesliga, team with limited talent and a 70k budget...woo go me.
Anyway, I tried developing a 4132 tactic but it never worked out, made a few adjustments here and there and it took a 6-0 drubbing away to Schalke (dam you Kuranyi) to think that this wasnt working out.
So I thought fark it, player morale is shot, im struggling a bit now and I have Bayern next game, im just going to set up with default tactics as I cant be arsed to spend 30mins making a new tactic.
So I went with the 532 counter attack default setting, and ticked counter attack. (surely that should be ticked automaticly?)
I think for the first time, I played a giant of a team in the league and never felt like they were going to score. I had numerous chances but Iashvilli missed some sitters but still won the game 2-0!!
Hmm this got me thinking, next up Cottbus at home. So I selected the default 4132 attacking formation.
Result?...only a 5-2 win, destroying them in the process!!
My last game of the next was against Leverkusen away from home. I decided to go back to the 532 counter attack...and again i was in control and won 2-1!!
Does this mean that all the hours ive spent designing naff tactics have been wasted?
All I was doing was assessing the opposition, their tactics and just selecting a default tactic to suit it.
Cant wait to carry on tonight now and give it some more experimentation...!!
