Is there any way to improve your scoring, meaning not having 25 shots and only 1 goal?

Apparently reading these forums, if you turn long shots down on your players and creativity to low on your strikers it does but Ive yet to try it.

I like battering the goal for 90mins to concede a goal to one chance...

You could try playing defensive on the counter attack. The obvious result is you'll have a lot less chances, but they *should* be better quality (mainly the ones on counter attack) and scoring 1 from 5 is a better ratio then 1 from 25.

It should also lessen the chance of getting that last minute suckerpunch and losing 1-0 thanks to their only shot in the game.

On the flipside, you might get battered and lose 2-0 thanks to their 20 shots on target (in which case your tactic isnt working, or your players cant cope with the oppositions' pressure)
