Default Brilliant Goalkeeping displays - again!!

FM 2008. I have noticed that the most commom MoM award and brilliant displays goes to the opposition goalkeeper more often than it should. I am sure this has happened in previous versions.
Has any one else experienced this, am I being paranoid or are my tactics wrong? How do I overcome this?

Cheers

It might be just your strikers are not great finishers and their shots are easy for the GK to save, and if your bombarding their goal with fairly easy shots to save, chances are he is going to get MOM.

means that ur strikers are shooting straight to the the goalkeeper. change ur formation or get a new striker.

I usually find that my goalkeeper (Ochoa)gets MoM quite a few times when he has nothing to do. Says he didn't have much to do but when he did it was minimal fuss. He makes some cracking saves tho, 1 season i had him he didn't do too well but he had to settle in after the January transfer window. this season he's been a rock for me

Buy a striker with top finishing and composure.

This happened on my Barca save and now on my Lyon save again.

On my Barca save, the opposition keeper got MoM 9 times out of 10. No matter who I played upfront (Eto'o / Aguero / M.Fernandez) this happened.

Happening again on my new Lyon game, with Fred up-front.

There's a few threads on the bugs forum about wonder keepers. Teams quite often get 30+ shots and lose 1-0. Apparently it will get looked at for the next patch.
In the meantime, there are a few things you need to look at.
Check the tactics forum to see the best formation to get clearcut chances. If you're playing a high tempo game, check the composure of the strikers, especially if its mainly one-on-ones.
If theyre making stupidly rubbish shots then you may need to lower their creative freedom.
See which players are providing the most passes to them, whether its the wingers or the midfielders. See if their stats are good enough.

I find that my keeper gets MoM more often than he should. Got Hugo Lloris, and even when he conceded 4 against Man Utd he was MoM with a rating of 9.

Then again, I suppose with Derby's defence he probably worked quite hard keeping it down to only 4.
