I'll give you the way I play. Its not any tactic thats been posted, just my own and it works wonders for me. First of all though, I cant give you anything for the AMC position. I hardly ever use them in my games and I suck at getting the best out of them. VDV has been horrific for me whenever I've bought him. Never had Anderson. Only AMC that has ever performed for me is Nasri.

Anyway:

AMR & AML - Use the same settings for both of them. Whenever I play as Arsenal, I start with Hleb & Rosicky on the wings. They are both great in a free role so I give them that and also have arrows pointing inside to the AMC position. I'd look to do the same with Ben Arfa atleast. I've had success with him with that tactic. You can experiment with the free role. I dont think he's good enough at the start but might be a couple of seasons in. With Menez, no arrows to AMC. Just put on AML and let him do his thing. Would do the same with Keita & Gouffran as Menez. Seem like good wingers to me even though I've not had much experience with them. The settings:
FR: Often
RWB: Often
TB: Mixed
LS: Mixed/Rarely
CB: Often

Mentality is usually attacking & creativity setting according to their stat for the same.

MC: This is a hard position to get the best out of. I've heard people say they cant get Cesc to perform, but I've never had a problem with him. He's usually averaging 7.5 or more for me. Anyway, settings:
Mentality on full attack & full creativity.
Tackling: Easy
FR: Mixed/Rarely
RWB: Mixed/Often
LS: Mixed
TB: Often
CB: Rarely

You'll have to play around with FR's. Sometimes mixed works well, sometimes rarely. I usually play Denilson with Rarely and he does better that way.

DM: Mentality & Creative freedom on normal here. Right in the centre.
Passing: Short (with Makoun & Veloso I'd give the same as the whole team though because they are both good passers).
Closing Down: Own Area
Tackling: Normal/Hard
FR: Mixed
RWB: Rarely
LS: Mixed
TB: Often
CB: Rarely
Marking: Zonal


That usually works for me for everyone. I dont have a specific problem with any position although DM is a bit more of a challenge. Cant seem to get the best out of that position. Hope it helps. :thup:

but i forgot to mention that i put all of my midfielders on the middleline with arrows ...

except my amc he is just behind the strikers with an arrow also

Well the wingers shouldnt be a problem as your tactic is bascially telling them to get forward and run on the wing. So thats fine.

I'd change the MC's/DM's settings slightly though. Seeing as you like them both to go back, I would atleast have their FR setting to rarely. And also RWB on rarely. Tackling on Mixed/Hard depending on how good they are at it. Wouldnt have sense to have them go forward or run with ball when you want them to remain back and help out in defence.

What you could also try (maybe in preseason matches?) is you could play your both your central midfielders in the DM position and from there you could have a forward arrow for the one you want should be more attacking. That might work better with the settings I've given above anyway. Obviously I've not tried your tactic but I dont think there'd be much point in having either as attacking because they'd be running back all the time. Try them out in your preseason games and see what comes off it.
