I just wanted to know if anyone is currently/has ever played as Blackpool in FM 2008?
I'm at the beginning of my third season, and still battling it out mid-bottom table. My main problem is finance. After the start of the season my bank balance is about £3mill-ish normally, but once season tickets have stopped being sold, i record losses of like £2-300k per month.
I have offered new contracts to all players, at their current rate per week, but without appearance fee's. Most have, surprisingly, accepted. I've done everything i can to try and stop my constant decline in funds, but at the end of every season the balance is so low i can never get a decent amount of money.
I have had to sell 2 of my best players for 1mill+ each, to even have a chance of getting enough money to get a well-rounded squad. Anyone help me in getting my club finances back on track?
For anyone starting as blackpool or any championship/maybe league 1 side in the future, a decent gem of a keeper is Anthony Scribe. Bought him 2 seasons ago for like £5k trained him up, and now he's worth about £150k. Which, remember, is quite good for a championship side.
Any questions, or help given for my problem would be most welcome, i'll help anyone out as much as i can too.
